Aida Godo Factory has received the Minister Prize in the category of small and medium-sized manufacturers and importers as part of the Awards for Best Contributors to Product Safety sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on November 12, 2015. After 2010 and 2013, this is the third time our company received this award.
In 2015 the METI granted awards related to product safety to sixteenth companies or organizations. These awards are classified into four categories (large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises of manufacturers and importers, and retailers) as well as a special awards class. Among these, Aida Godo Factory received the Minister Prize, the most prestigious one.
We believe that we have been awarded for the product security criteria that we used in all of the product planning, design and development phases. We independently set these criteria based on customers’ feedback, complaints and comments on tool usage during hoe workshops. Another evaluation point was our capacity to take initiatives to help customers select the right tool and to guarantee that they use it safely. Such risk-reduction initiatives include setting categories of tools for each particular work and supplying workflow charts in order to respond to the demand for kitchen gardening tools used by people without experience.
We will further strive to develop this capacity to manufacture good-quality products that our customers can use safely.
Profile of companies that received the Awards for Best Contributors to Product Safety in 2015 (METI website)

Aida Godo Factory has been awarded as part of the 7th Awards for Best Contributors to Product Safety sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on November 15, 2015. We believe that we were recognized for our daily efforts to ensure that our customers can safely use our secure products. We had been reducing risks related to products in the planning, design, and development phases by collecting product trouble information, complaints and usage conditions from users during hoe workshops and consultation meeting on repair, and analyzing them to clarify intrinsic risks. This is the second time that we have been awarded since we won the same prize in fiscal year 2010.
We won the Minister Prize of Economy, Trade and Industry for Fourth METI Minister’s Awards for Best Contributors to Product Safety sponsored by METI, announced on October 8, 2010. This is because our efforts, such as prevention of erroneous purchase and utilization through improvement and attachment of various indications, promotion of product safety culture in local industries, collection of customers' voice through repair events and feedback into products, were recognized.
This award intends to widely recruit manufacturers, importers and retailers actively taking product safety measures (participation should be on the individual company basis) and to commend them as the "Excellent Companies in Product Safety Measures" following strict examination.
It is not the safety of the products themselves manufactured, imported or sold by each company but the product safety measures of the entire company that are evaluated. From the date of announcement of the award, winners of this award can use the "Excellent Company Logo Mark for Product Safety Activities" in order to promote and advertise themselves as an excellent company in the field of product safety measures.
